    This one is near 20th Street, it's a fixed position distant signal that controls the approach to the old KC main which was CTC, but is now part of the dark branch. Information supplied by James E. Gilley


  • Location: Yutan, Nebraska

    Saturday Nov 14,1998 The Semaphore in Yutan is gone. It's replacement on the same pole but only a lite now. Update kindly supplied by Gary Smith.

    Previous Information:

    The line crosess the U.P. at Yutan, so the fixed position distant signal (near a siding called ELK on the BN's Sioux CIty Line) appears to protect the crossing against northbounds (Westbounds according to BNSF even though they travel NE.),there is also a single (S.P. style) signal protecting it from southbounds.   • Location: Fremont, Nebraska

    A fixed position distant semaphore signal protects the BNSF crossing with the UP. It's located south of Platte Ave and Hills Farm Road. Information thanks to Cody Erben and Gary Smith
