Located in the former Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad depot adjacent to CSXT's mainline
to Chicago, off of East Benton Street in Rossville.
Rossville Junction museum at Rossville, Illinois saved the train order
semaphores that were at Danville Junction in Danville, Illinois. They
were the GRS train order style upper quadrant like the C&O and B&O used.
I heard they were setup outside BEHIND the depot due to the very active
CSX Chicago to Nashville mainline. This is the former Evansville mainline
of the former C&EI. The signals are not currently operable.

Prominently displayed is a rare "banjo" style disc signal from the Illinois Central.
The manufacturer of this signal (U.S. & S. Co. VS Hall Signal ) is not known at this time.
The museum also owns 5 semaphore signals, two of which are train order type.
These units are believed to reside in storage.

Reported to have one semaphore mechanism from the C&NW.
It's likely a GRS Co. style 2A top-of-mast.

A former Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific line mechanical TO semaphore exists
at the downtown station.
