| This is a rare Union Switch and Signal Co. Style B spectacle. More specifically, it's a three light, 60 degree lower quadrant casting (C.I. Pat No. 9086) which takes 8-3/8" roundels (i.e. lenses). | Semaphore Spectacle for Sale | |
| These historic and coveted signaling items are almost never offered for sale. Due to it's extreme age, it is lightly rusted but contains no cracks or chips whatsoever (sandblasting makes a full and perfect restoration easy). |
At roughly 65 pounds, this is not a light item. Offered at US$400, buyer pays shipping & handling, to be arranged after sale. |
|
| These semaphores were manufactured and installed between 1898 and 1930 on many major rail lines. A few patron railroads included the Boston and Maine, Delaware Lackawanna and Western, Michigan Central, Union Pacific, and Southern Pacific. |
Interested parties should contact Tom Ohnmeiss at 716-706-0279 ASAP. Or via e-mail railfan@semaphores.com Please leave a message and I will return your call in the order received. |
